Default Internal conflict rumors?

Okay, I have NO idea if this is true or not...it was from an email that I received from a family member. Not sure where it originated. But just wanted to post it here to see if anyone else has heard this. I find this hard to believe, but here it is anyway:

Hi All,

For those of you who know me you are aware that I'm not a "rumor monger". However this info comes to me from a reliable source and I'm sending this out to my AU inner circle. What are you hearing? Can any of you down on the Plains shed any light on these allegations? Thanks. - GZ

I spoke with a very influential Auburn booster Saturday morning and he told me some things that I was shocked, but not surprised I guess, to hear. His family most definitely did not support the Chizik hire but they are big Dye folks and spend a lot of time with him. Again, this guys family is as "in" as you can get down there. Anyhow, he told me that after the Arkansas game Kodi Burns stood up on the bus once Chizik boarded and started yelling that he deserved and wanted more touches. This resulted in a lot of screaming and hollering between Chizik, Burns, and then other black players. My buddy said that in the last two weeks there have been several black vs. white fights on the team and they are more divided internally than they ever were last year. It seems all the black players are pissed at Chizik and Roof for playing some of the white players over others and that Trooper is leading them on. Two things about our conversation as we watched the Arky vs. Ole Miss game.......One, this guy is as "in" as anybody can be at Auburn so I knew he wasn't just telling me a tale for no reason as he was extremely despondent. And, two, I didn't really believe it so much until the Auburn game came on last night and, sure enough, there was Kodi with a much more involved roll in the game plan. It was beyond obvious to me, after watching the first half of their game last night, that my buddy was dead on the money as it pertained to Kodi and the interaction between the white and black players on their sidelines last night. Sorry for the length but I have seen a couple of reputable posters infer the same things here lately so I figured I could share my first hand account.

That sounds bammer-generated bogus to me, and completely opposite of the following email I got from a friend earlier this week, that was in response to similar rumors:

I'm sure there are always issues when you are loosing but Kathy and I walk 3
or 4 nights a week over at the village where all the players and coaches
come to eat supper and we haven't experienced a "hint" of discontent. In
fact we saw Kodi sunday night and spoke with him while he was talking to
Malzahn and others. Kodi spoke as he has in the past as did McCalleb, Mccain
and Eddins. Of course they did not practice and had been in meetings
watching film so maybe all is well. It does make some sence as Kodi did not
get the carries in Arkansas that he may have wanted in front of his home
boys so I would have been upset too but that's not Racial, heck I wasn't
happy either and Malzahn certainly couldn't have happy either. You also can
go back to the first 5 games Chizik said over and over that we were not a
very good team so he tried to tell us but we weren't listening. I'm sure
the Bammers are worried as we are about to take over in recruiting so they
need to keep the rumors flying. Don't count us out King Nick was 6 & 6 his
first year. Remembes this Gene closest friend on the staff is Curtis Luper
and Luper calls Gene his Mentor. They go way back and every job Luper has
ever had he called Gene for advice and Trooper needs to express loyalty as
he is wanting a HFC job so don't put much stock into rumors concerning
Trooper & Luper. Don't be surprised when we win this week end however we
simply don't have the #s.We will win a game or 2 that we are not supposed.

Thanks for the response...I too find it hard to believe that would happen. Just wanted to see if anyone else heard the same thing.

Sounds like some Finebaum/REC induced rumor mongering.

Just because Bynes was pissed at Todd Saturday night, doesn't mean there is a RACIAL divide amongst the whole team.

My fiance is a Tennessee alum and a devout follower of all things related to Vols football. He told me back when Auburn hired Trooper Taylor (before the Tigers smacked the pants off the Vols this season...woo hoo!) that it was rumored that he caused a lot of internal conflicts when he was at UT under Fulmer. It was the same type of thing that this email mentions...it seemed that Trooper was fueling the fire of conflict between black players and white players. Its hard to know if any of this is true. But it seems strange that the same rumors would come from different schools. I love Trooper and his sideline intensity. I think Auburn needs someone like him getting everyone fired up. I really hope these rumors are only rumors. WDE.

I agree. There were some bammers calling in on fbomb the other day talking about this. It seems they tried the same thing last year. The bammers want to keep us down. (They'd better stop messin' with Sasquatch.)

Patiger, either you are REALLY a junior (naive) member (only 11 posts) or you're really a bammer. I find it hard to believe that someone with only 11 posts would come up with this kind of story. However, you could be listening to finebaum (bad move) or your source is related to balloon boy dad. And, this sounds just like a bammerism.
