Default Not a Gripe, Just Information and a Question

This post appeared on our board. I would like to Know why our band was not allowed to perform after going all that way? You guys missed a treat, they must have prepared a special show for you since they are now using it for their exhibitions. Unedited post:

We've done something different every game except for homecoming, at which we did one new song, and redid another from the previous week.

As for our exhibition shows, we used what was suppose to be the Auburn halftime show, but since we couldn't march, we used it for exhibitions. We played exhibitions in Princeton, Mooresville NC, Charleston, Elkins, and outside of Pittsburgh.

As for the Auburn trip, while the result was something I'd rather forget, I have to say that their fans were extremely nice to us. Being a visiting band, I figured we'd get a lot of hospitality, but we didn't.

It was because of the heavy rain. If it hadn't rained so hard, I'm sure your band would have gotten that opportunity. I'm sorry it didn't work out for them.

both bands played halftime music from their seats in the stands because of the heavy pre-game rain.

Our band also didn't perform the pregame show for the same reason. The eagle didn't fly pregame for the same reason. And if they had tentatively planned on the jet fly-over, that got cancelled too.

We all missed out on that one - the visiting fans would have loved the pregame stuff (the eagle flying really is unique and something to behold). Also sounds like we Auburn fans missed a great visiting band as well.

Hopefully OldGoldandBlue can get word back that it was not an intentional slight but a safety precaution (wet, slippery field surface). And I hope that the person who said their band got no hospitality just didn't understand why they couldn't march at halftime (4" rain in one hour is a lot of water on the ground!!).

Posted info you provded on our site. I didn't want people to get the wrong idea. It seems Cicinatti won't let us bring our band. Claims it would ruin there home field advantage! Thanks again!
