Default All Time Tigers Football Team

So I play NCAA 10 on XBOX and they have a feature called team builder. And I was bored so I decided to create an All Time Tigers team. I got started and decided to get more than just my opinion on who the greatest tigers were/are.

Please comment and we can have a discussion. If you are interested a link to the team is here.

Also the roster is limited in number the positions each have numbers associated with them. That is how much room I have to edit them in.

I hope your not expecting me to read all of that.
I am biased to Bo Jackson. He is one of the main reasons I became and Auburn fan as a young man.

I don't remember a James Willis playing for Auburn. The name sounds familiar but I am pretty sure there is no member of the Auburn family by that name. I could be wrong. I do know of a guy by that name who is a coach for Alabama but no Auburn man by that name. Sorry - just had to point out the error.

I almost left him out but he was ALL-SEC. And I agree unless James Willis knocks on my Huntsville hotel room door and apologizes for being a turd He will remain a candidate.

in the LB category...one must include Jackie Burkett (and I saw you had him listed at center, good for you, but he played both ways and should be listed at LB too, maybe replace that Willard Guy w/ Burkett....better palyer & a helluva lot better person).

DL .....Zeke Smith needs to be there...you know him he won the Outland Trophy (and I see you also have him listed on the OL...but he was one heck of a DT...some say second only to T. Rocker in AU history)

at Center...Walter Gilbert....AA & CFHOF and the University's highest athletic trophy is named in his honor (man my bad, my proof readin is suffering today...you have him there )

at RB from the old school: Kirk Newell,,,following is Newell's football resume while at AU:

Newell lettered four years at Auburn University in football and baseball, one year in basketball, track and soccer. During his four years, the football team won 24, lost 4, tied 2 and scored 639 points to opponents' 111. He was captain of the 1913 undefeated Southern Champions gaining 1,707 yards, forty-four percent of the team's total. Through his career he gained 5,800 yards rushing, 350 passing and 1,200 in punt returns. Selected All-Southern, he is listed on Auburn's All-Time Team.

so after all of that, it seems the only one I really have to offer at this time is Newell

Kirk Newell used to post here a lot...didn't know he was such a great athlete. He seemed to know a bunch of people from Gadsden...

there is a small possibly that Kirk Newell (the poster) was Kirk Newell's (the football player) grandson.
