Default One final review of Todd Version 2.0

I usually don't like pointing out shortcomings of Auburn athletes, however facts are facts. The misdirections and trickerations have worked so far, and have covered the QB performance, but I doubt they will work very well in the last three games.

Chris Todd locks on receivers, and waits for the receiver to get open. I've seen other QBs lock, however this guy is something else. He'd throw the ball to the locked receiver unless the guy gets triple-coverage, in which case Chris Todd will throw the ball away even if he has 7 yards open in front of him, and two receivers wide open.

That was / has been evident since week 2. It was obvious last week when he kept on throwing the ball to double-covered receivers, while there were open receivers on the field. It worked against Paladins. I doubt it will work very well against our next opponents.

--- Can't wait to see Rollison behind the gun.

maybe the review should be done after the IB......and let us hope Mr. Todd has one more "WV Game" in him (and possibly two)

What is it with these people who always respond to any critique of a player with "you're not an Auburn fan" It's ridiculous. Nobody would take the time to go to this forum every day for over two years if they weren't a true fan. Believe me, the BS that streams from here sometimes is enough to drive away any but the true fan.
XAFF has his opinion and is more than welcome to share it here without some knothead claiming that he's not a fan. What a BOZO!!!

I was being facetious you dimwit. I was implementing how people treat you on here when you have a different opinion.

I think he was being sarcastic sec38.

Oh...and I agree with xaff's assessment of Todd. Its not an opinion. He does it. We've seen the locking onto the first option, no progressions, throwing into double/triple coverage. Bama's corners are as close to lockdown as we have seen this year. I could see it getting ugly for Chris unless he learns how to move his eyes around. It is what it is.

He does lock on recievers, but who doesn't.. If he still has a high completion ratio and limits the picks or has zero picks I do not care. I say if Todd gets in rhythem then look out we have a chance in any game against anybody. The problem is he has to settle down, as road games with the exeption of UT have NOT been kind to Todd. If he gets rattled or appears nervous call TO or put Caudle in. I hate leaving TO's on the field when you have lack of depth.
I am not so worried about Georgia as I am the officals...

Agreed next year we should be very EXPLOSIVE.
