The number one rated player in LA has verbally committed to play football at AU.

War Eagle Trovon! Welcome to the Auburn family.

This kid is a real stud. He reminds me a lot of that WR for Texas Tech last year.....Crabtree. He runs very crisp routes and has great hands. This is a HUGE pickup. WDE!

Now, let's keep him committed and get him in school.

Coaching opinions and differences of opinion on this board aside, I am very impressed by how well this staff has recruited. They have gone after big name players and landed them. We have went head to head with Texas, FSU, LSU, UGA, Ok State, Bama, Arky, Oregon, Tennessee among others - and won our share. I haven't seen us go after these caliber of players and get them in a LONG time. It feels good.

I agree, I've never been much of a follower of recruiting, and don't really know anything about it now - but when you hear them on the radio saying that Auburn has committments from the top player in Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, etc. it has to be a good thing.

All we heard when Chizik was hired was that he would NEVER be able to get any players to come to Auburn, because "why would any choose to play for Chizik over Saban, Meyer, Spurrier, etc, etc, etc."

I know it's never over til they sign on the line, but it does look good.

Hope the team proves them just as wrong on the field!

It really does feel good. Trooper Taylor and Luper are great recruiters and the kids seem to love them . I believe that Reed is a cousin to Lache Seastrunk. Who knows.....wouldn't it something if we ended up with Lattimore, Seastrunk, Dyer, Reed, etc. Dayum!

Not sure how you see that coming....he already committed to Baylor, though it was soft. He seems decently high on UT as well, however that whole armed robbery must really have an effect on their recruiting.
