One of my co-workers knows Chris Davis very well. She has watched him play football for several years and we talked about this very subject just the other day. She said Chris had at least one runback for a touchdown every game this year in hs. He is very fast but has great juking skills for aluding tackles and is not afraid of taking a hit. She is an Alabama fan and really wanted him to go to Bama. She said Auburn would be crazy not to put him back for punts and/or kickoffs as that was his specialty in high school.
I watched his highlight videos the other day and my first thought was that he was an unbelievable return guy and receiver.
Davis doesn't seem to have the top end speed that Washington does that is so crucial to successful kickoff returns. But he's so darn slippery, Troop would be insane not to try this guy out at punt returner.
