Phillip, can you comment on the post about Alabama not being eligible for coaches poll votes(AFCA rule posted on coaches poll page). How do the coaches get around a rule that states that coaches cannot vote for a team on major probation? Is Alabama not on major probation?
Mr. Marshall, For many months I have searched off and on for subject matter discussed on finebaum concerning your comments on how you consider the differences between UA and AU and what Auburn is up against. And as expected, the snide one would disagree as he still operates under the pretention that he was Paul Bryant's personal scribe. It is important to me only in that as a 51 year old fan I know the climb that Auburn has made, yet a couple of generations of younger fans seem to take for granted the recent streak and post-Shug years as a given. We remember the current powers that were once homecoming opponents. I suppose what I wish for is a re-printing of your opinion, or what I regard as nearly gospel re: the rivalry OR a link or reference that I may find so that I may put it on display again. A buddy of mine from NC told me the other day that Gabe King, DE from NC, was leaning towards Auburn. Have you heard anything about his recruitment? Heard Thigpen was on him hard.
Just that he wasn't drunk and did not resist arrest. I hear he was hollering across the parking lot. I'm sure he'll have to pay some price, but that's really about as minor as it gets.
