I think that we should certainly entertain the idea of a practice appearance from the AUC crowd. I also think that I should be able to find a hang glider by then.

Will it be an open or closed practice? ugahater, if you fly your hang glider, be sure to bring a strap......you don't want to dangle too bad.

LOL, southside. Brings to mind an old phrase, "the angle of the dangle", and the question, at what angle is the dangle no longer a dangle?

45 degrees. Sine of 45 equals cosine of 45 so it is hard to tell which direction it is pointing.

dpw, tell GHS if the hypotenuse is too loose the angle will be less than 45 degrees and will still be considered a dangle......if the angle is more than 45, it is pure exhilaration.

Exhilaration. Well, I know a little bit about that. But, I'm not a math guy.

Here is my take:

The angle of the dangle can determine what's untangled.
The wrap of a strap could leave one feeling trapped.
The slide of the glide can bring a fella pride.
So, there's little use in wrangling with the angling of the dangling.

Remember, no loose ends, wrap loosely, guide the glide, and don't wrangle;just enjoy!

southside, I feel quite sure that I will. Gliding in such a way that I've only dreamed of leaves me more concerned for the enjoyment of the spectators than myself. I can feel the breeze now. Free as a . . . well, an Eagle. Soaring high and mighty, I shall make calls previously unheard. And, much like that fateful day at Piedmont Park in 1892, there will be goats looking to the sky. They will be baying, but the Tiger will roar.

With a quivering lip and a tear in my eye, I almost jumped up and yelled "War Eagle!" right here in my office.

As for a mental picture....my mind was thankfully completely blank.
