Default Not my favorite thing about South Texas...

Sometimes when it's 70 degrees and sunny in February, I think, "I really love south Texas weather".

But then it gets to the summer and I deal with this....

10 Day forecast for San Antonio....

every area has its plus and minuses, I guess.....

2 things I dislike about alabama weather:

1. in the winter time the temp drops to 32.5 degrees and rains.......dadgum miserable...either snow or warm up.....but a cold drizzle is the worst......(those of us who suffered through Winter Quarter at AU know how demoralizing this type of weather can be...damn, still have nightmares about Winter Quarter )

2. allergies..........down right horrible and it has gotten to the point that I pretty much suffer 9 months out of the year...

but I do love the summer and the fact that alabama basically has two springs (especially on the coast)...not much difference between March/April and mid September to the first week in November (the coast is fantastic in October)...

jd...looks like you need to stay inside and watch more "Golden Girls" re-runs...

ea...I agree...winter cold rain is the worst, 9-month allergy season sucks and October at the coast is awesome.

Just to be clear....I do NOT watch Golden Girls....I was referencing one of our fellow board members (now affectionately as the queen) that I think I remember mentioning the show.

Beatrice Aurthur probably could have started at tight end for one of Dye's teams, and I couldn't stand watching her (so I didn't ).

I was a Cheers watcher in those years.

Good Lord.

Ok, so after I am done with my stint here (in 22 days) I'll move to a place where for 2 winter months the temperature is below 0F. yep. ZERO F. I'll be spending 2 years there. The university has underground tunnels to go from one building to another. Summers are at 70F.

If I hear any of you complain about winters....

Ya'll need to get into your trucks and bring about some global warming.

JA, at least the precip chances are next to nothing which means you're in a dry heat. Lately here, you can cut the humidity with a knife. I used to run road races in 90+ degree heat, but even this last Friday was too much for me. I had to come inside for a while between 2-4. It was about 99 degrees with 60-70% humidity. Just nasty.
