Default Is it just me?

Or is this health care plan the newest dumbest thing I've ever heard?

It might be if you could ever find one single person who has read the whole thing and can explain it or if the Congress would just release it and let you read it yourself.......

imagine that, a governmental system that is open and responsive to the people...maybe in a couple of hundred years a group of people will devise a government that works that way ...."of, for and by the people"....what a novel idea!

WAR EAGLE

ps: what ever happened to the right to privacy and the right to choose when it comes to medical issues? bastages!

pps: jd, have you read the Wacko-Marxist Bill? (also known as Waxman-Markey & Cap & Trade)......if it passes the health care bill will not matter....we will all commit societal suicide and no one will be left to medicate/cure/ or to tell "take an asprin and call me in the morning."

ppps: if the health care bill does pass, I nominate Ted Kennedy as the first person to be refused medical services and to have Obama tell him to take some percocet & to suck it up.

oh well, it doesn't matter...according to our esteemed and learned President we all stupid racist not worth saving anyway.....excuse me, I have to stop now, I am feeling very ill and I have to go stand in line at the government run hospital for the next 6 years to see if I am allowed any medical attention.

I want a law attached that will require all Federal Employee's including all congressional and publicly elected government officials, and thier staff, to go on the public plan as soon as it is in place.

I have heard a bit about it. I was just reading an article about it and one of the reader comments below the article was entertaining...

"If we could waterboard those on the left and get the truth, we'd find that killing the economy and stealing from productive Americans is their goal".

I'm sure that bill is first in line of thinking that will somehow result in nationalizing energy supply. You'll never him say it, but his socialist mind-set will eventually come out in everything he intends to do.

Example: "let's save the US auto industry, it's the right thing to do". Result? The government now owns 60% of GM.

The same group that currently runs the near-bankrupt Medicaid is going to run the whole show? Name any government run program of significance that operates under budget, efficiently, and without politics as the guideline.

At least it seems the bill is being pushed back past the congresses August break, which means there will be more time for more people to speak up about it's flaws.

As Galen always says, time will tell.

Come on, we're Auburn people...we have brains....we are genetically inclined to have clarity when evaluating political BS and the ability to know constitutional murder when we see it.

I could even deal with having a Democrat leader as long as he didn't try to turn America into something we're not and have never been. Something we have specifically avoided being for over 200 years. Something we have actually fought to free other countries from.

Italy is a good example of where he's leading us....debt that is nearly 150% of the GDP.

A considerable portion of the current deficit is due to specific expenditures such as war, Katrina, 9/11, etc. The difference is that Obama is putting policies in place that will perpetuate an unsustainable deficit trend that will just go and go and go until we are Italy...an unsustainable amount of debt to our GDP.

Right now, 9.5 of 10 tax dollars go to pay the INTEREST on the national debt. There will come a point where the X axis (Tax Revenue) and Y axis (Interest on the National Debt) will cross and take different directions. Just picture it on graph paper if that helps. But it will not be long. At his rate of "printing money", borrowing from the Red Chinese, whatever you want to call it, the Interest owed on this debt will become more than our annual tax revenue. Collapse of the economy will ensue. Our debtors will own us. But Dumb Dumb in the Whitehouse doesn't care. This is what he wants. Its all a HUGE push towards socializing our gov't much like the model of China and the USSR.

And if anyone has any doubts to the validity of the 9.5 of 10 figure, there was a study done in 1984 by the Reagan Admin to see where tax dollars really went. Those were the results. And they haven't changed since. Its gotten worse.

Ironic thing here, to me JA, is that this country was created to GET AWAY from the very things that are being implemented today by Obama. I offer people to go research into the very underlying causes of the Revolutionary War and the gov'ts in Europe at the time (and now for that matter). America was created by our founding fathers to be the first 100% free country on Earth, and had a very good plan to do so. It has worked well for 200 years. On these principles and "this plan" we built the greatest country and biggest superpower the Earth has ever seen. So throw it all away?? Hmmmm.....

Republicans only comprise about 24% of the electorate now. Maybe before too long we will be free of the shackles of me, me, me, give me mine first! I worked harder than you did, I want mine now.... Greed is good! I don't care if the potholes need patching, I don't want to pay more taxes to patch them. People dying because they don't have health care? The first real Americans just set them down by the trail and walked off. Let's try that for a while! Bye Mama, it's time for you to go. Sorry we can't afford the best, maybe you can catch a ride to Canada or Great Brittain! Are we going to like counting our money better now? Oh, here Big Pharma, now you can have all the money, this is just wonderful! The Health Care Bill failed! Glory to money in the highest, now we have enough for another war and if Goldman Sachs needs bailing out again we have that too. Here Wall Street, go on retreat, you've been working so hard. Let's bail out Bobby Lowder that would be a lot smarter than spending a little more to educate our children. (GO HERE FOR HATE LINE)

Ok, first you're an idiot and make no sense. Put down the Valium and Old Crow.

Healthcare already IS available, it is called the FREE MARKET. I own a business and I can tell you that Healthcare is available to everyone who wants to buy it. Thats the kicker - most of these bottom feeder, "gimme" types don't want to buy it. They want it free. And because of that, Obama will subsidize it. I work hard for my money you fool. And just because someone else doesn't CHOOSE to doesn't mean I should be FORCED to pick up the slack. Giving out hand outs (see the Community Reinvestment Act under Carter/Clinton) are what have created most of this mess we're in. Just for the record if facts, not rhetoric, mean anything to you - Obama has passed most of the welfare dollars thus far. Show me what exactly these welfare dollars have done for anyone. It will provide a quick temporary shot in the arm, if ANYTHING. Yeah - good luck paying it back. But I am sure you taught Milton Friedman the laws of Supply and Demand huh?

And BTW - Big Pharma will be here making tons WITH or WITHOUT gov't healthcare.
