That is absolutely right. The government should not tell me what to do with my body, or force me to buy a health insurance.

I am hoping that even in case they get the bill thru, someone will have the wisdom to take them to the courts and get it annulled.

I think an appropriate solution would be to run a bunch of government owned and operated hospitals with low cost medical care (NOT 100% FREE) and an immunity against lawsuits. That should give people an option and reduce the cost of healthcare for the populace. Let the private hospitals and insurances run for those that want to run them. That is how the rest of the world does it.
