Talking ...and the rest is gravy

AU just beat Florida. The AU coaches have finished the main course and the rest, yes, is gravy. Any more wins by the men and women is just icing on the cake. Coach Lebo and Coach Nell have done everything asked of them this year and then some for the women. Both teams should now be a lock for the NCAA and more wins will likely follow.

Our bb teams are looking up and momentum is building. A new arena is under construction and two great recruiting classes are on the way. It is time JJ gives both coaches a long term contract with plenty of bonuses. Stability is what is now needed most at AU as the bb programs are on firm foundation. In a few weeks, JJ and the coaches need to hammer out the details.

It really is great to be an Auburn Tiger.

I think the future is bright for both.

I do not think Auburn is a lock for the NCAA. Too many things happening against them with other NCAA lock teams losing in their conference tourney.

AU's record in the SEC speaks for itself. They have beaten all the likely SEC teams that have a chance at the NCAA. They are second in the west and finished with the second best record in the conference. The FL game was the in/out game. AU won and mark my words my friends -- AU is in the big dance!

If Auburn loses tomorrow they are less than a 50/50 chance to get in.

Like I said too many NCAA lock teams losing in their tourney.

Can someone tell me how Tennessee has the #2 ranked SOS?

I think if we beat UT...for sure lock...if not, I think if the SEC gets three in we desrve it over SC, UF or UK...better hope MSU gets beat by LSU tomorrow. Too many tournaments are being won by non-NCAA lock or bubble teams....hope you're right.

UT played a tough non-conference schedule....Georgetown, Gonzaga(twice), Memphis, Kansas and Marquette to name a few.

"AU is in the big dance!"

Is that what they're calling the N.I.T now?

I do not think a long term deal for Lebo is in Auburns best interest at this time. He has two years remaining on his deal. After running the mens BB program for 5 seasons I do not think a NIT bid merits a long term contract it just keeps him from being fired. We will see what type of foundation he has layed next season. If he continues to lead the tigers BB program forward the next couple of seasons then give him a long term deal.
