Default Why do SEC refs almost always screw Auburn?

I don't get it . Everytime Auburn would go for a rebound they would get hammered with no foul called. At least twice I know UTs player obviously touched the ball last when it went out of bounds and they gave the ball to UT!!! I could go on about fouls and so on!

I think for SEC tournament games they just need to get some out of conference refs to come in and call games. I am impressed in how Auburn has won so many games during the last few months despite the refs.

Not sure if Auburn would have won the game if the ballgame had been called better but it makes me wonder.

It just seemed that they wanted a West v/s East match up instead of 2 teams from the west.

Bottom line is that UT outrebounded us and managed to get most of the loose balls...two things that we have been doing well during this run...we had 21 fouls and they had 19...they shot more poorly from the line than we did, but couldn't miss from the field.

I agree at times the calls seemed suspect...two bad possesion calls, a couple of phantom fouls and such, but despite what we think on the officiating UT still outplayed us today.

WDE...it has been a great run.

Tennessee was just the better team today. The refs were not great.

To be fair, when was the last time your favorite team lost and you were like "shit, that's some fine officiating!"

It is hard to tell what happened on particular plays unless you are in the right position. I've seen plenty of games were I felt the refs where biased and were cheating. I didn't see that yesterday from my viewpoint on TV. I didn't think the refs did us any favors and I think they did Tennessee a favor or two, but it was in the allowance for what I could really tell and what the refs could likely see... sometimes the calls go your way and sometimes they don't. The refs can't and don't get every call right. Tennessee out played us and won the game, my advice is to just tip your hat to them and give them the honest and sincere congratulations that they deserve.

I'm not a fan of the "Waaaahh, waaaahh the refs hate us" mindset.

It's what LSU and Bama fans do.

Auburn lost. It happens. The refs didn't give the game to anybody.

When your team wins, no one notices the refs. But if your team loses, then the refs were terrible. Ref bashing is for whiners.

If you put enough points on the board, it doesn't matter what the refs call.
