Here is a little scouting report and what I expect and some opinions. Then Probably a homer pick....
Baylor Starters:
PG Tweety Carter (jr)- One of our best players (in my opinion), he is great at defense and is becoming a pretty good point guard. He is still a better scorer than passer, but his passing is coming around. He was Baylor's first McDonald's All-American.
SG/PG Curtis Jerrells (sr)- Our best player...great offensive guard. Can shoot and drive. Plus he's a great finisher. We will really miss his scoring next year. He's not much of a liability on defense and he is the heart of this team.
SG LaceDarius Dunn (so)- Our best shooter....he will shoot too many 3's sometimes but when he gets going he can make 3/4 in a row on consecutive series with hands in his face. He used to be a liability on defense, but he has become better as the season has moved along.
PF Kevin Rogers (sr)- Our best post player, but he likes to play soft sometimes. He can generally beat almost anyone in a one on one senario with posts. He's also our high flyer with 5 dunks vs Georgetown and 4 vs Virginia Tech. He's probably our worst starter on defense, but he is pretty good at blocking shots.
C Josh Lomers (jr)- Our token 7'0" player. He is very slow compared to the rest of players, but he has been a force on defense and offense this month. He has terrible asthma so he won't play too many minutes, but he has been playing well.
--Bench--
SG Henry Dugat (sr)- Started almost every game in his four year career, but recently he has been on a slump and is coming off of the bench. He's a very good driving guard and he used to be a good 3 point shooter. He's also very active on defense. He'll get plenty of playing time.
C Mamadou Diene (sr)- Our other 7'0" player...he's not much at all on defense, but he is pretty decent at defense just because of his size. Known as the Mayor in Waco, because you see him everywhere and he is a really nice guy.
SF Anthony Jones (fr)- He's a 6'10" three point shooter. He was the #30 plater in the nation last year (per rivals). He is very skinny but can finish anywhere on the court. Plus having a 6'10" player who is very athletic playing defense on the outside can cause problems for teams. He needs to bulk up for his low post offense and defense however. He is VERY skinny...
PF/C Quincy Acy (fr)- Our most explosive player who can blcok anyone's shot even though he is only 6'7". He needs time to bulk up and learn not to foul as much, but like Anthony Jones we have high hopes for him.
One good thing for Baylor coming into this game is that we've already played 2 very good teams in the NIT (Georgetown & VaTech) and Auburn hasn't really been challenged yet. We have high hopes coming into this game becuase we have beaten Nebraska, Kansas, Texas, Georgetown, & VaTech the past week and a half. I've watched Auburn this season and I was very impressed. Ya'll are athletic and like to run it (just like we do).
I'm curious about where Baylor is located. Have a bet going with my brother-in-law. He says Baylor is in Colorado and plays in the Mountain West Conference. I say it's in Ohio and in the Mid-American.
Hey man don't worry about the jokes, I've got a buddy that goes to Baylor (Waco, BIG XII) Ha so I know a little bit about the place. My mom's from Texas too, Dallas, went to UT.
We could have trouble with Baylor's size advantage down low, I'd expect them to be key parts of yalls offensive plan. If Vot gets in foul trouble we could be in for a long day

Thanks for the scouting, promise, we're typically not rude. What you saw above is what we expect you to find on an Alabama site, not Auburn (we're mostly just bored waiting for spring practice to start, as I know the people above are not actually rude people).
I'm in New Braunfels, know some people that went to Baylor and I'm looking forward to a good game. You guys are playing well right now, no doubt, as are we, so it should be a good one. The future looks bright there with your coach, who learned his trade from another good coach (his dad).
"To me Auburn is not in Auburn, Alabama. Auburn is the people who care about Auburn, the people who love Auburn. Wherever they are, that’s Auburn, Auburn is in your heart. You play for it."

Having gone to both schools, I get the same question a lot here in Texas about Auburn. Most think it's located in Georgia, Alabama or Mississippi and think it's private.
This should be a very good game coming up. Auburn has been a nice surprise this season, while BU's season has been a bit of a disappointment, coming off of an NCAA berth last year.
If you went to a more academically challenging school such as oh.....lets see....Baylor, or even Bama, you would know you're geography outside of Alabama. Congratulations on graduating from the 96th best academic institution in the nation.
Though your athletic program gets some attention, lets face it, your the Texas A&M of the SEC, and that's not a compliment. I'll take Baylor any day of the week.
