A new guy, the right guy, will have Kentucky kicking much asso.

I think he is a good coach that wasn't ready for the "fishbowl" experience at UK...kind of like Mike Price at uat without the hookers....

It will be interesting to see if UK will pursue Calipari as some are suggesting...so far three new coaches in the SEC...will there be more?

A guy like Gillespie would be great at Georgia or Auburn. He did wonders at A&M.

UK is taking the Foley (UF's AD) approach: if you can see your self doing something in 2 years, then you might as well do it now.

Gollispie's downfall was he only wanted to coach. He had no interest in being an ambassador for the team/athletic department/school.

I'd say rumor.According to ESPN Grant was making 700,000 plus 100,000 in deferred monies and was considered overpaid for a mid-major program. Now whatever happens with Lebo and Auburn I don't see him taking a step back (in pay) after the turn around he had this year at Auburn.Whatever news you've heard I don't think will pan out for VCU.I can't find anything linking the two together.

VCU's AD and Lebo went to school together at UNC. Both were in the Athletic Dept. while at school. Lebo as a player, and the AD worked in the dept.

If he goes, I would love to get Gillispie.

I didn't mean on a personal level just the coaching vacancy at VCU.Now I've seen where the AD is interested in interviewing him.I still don't see it happening.
