ATHENS, Ga. - Senior Auburn running back Ben Tate is honoring his friend and roommate in a very special way for Auburn's game against Georgia tonight.

Tate, who has worn No. 44 his entire career, will wear Etheridge's No. 4 against the Bulldogs.

Etheridge, of course, suffered a cracked vertbra against Ole Miss and has been lost for the season.

That will presumably make this game mean all the more to Tate, who already has expressed his determination to do what he can to end a three-game Georgia winning streak in the Deep South's oldest series.
