Walt McFadden takes interception into the end zone/Todd Van Emst

AUBURN - Cornerback Walt McFadden, who returned one interception for a touchdown and clinched Auburn's 33-20 victory over No. 22 Ole Miss with another, was named Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week today. End Antonio Coleman was named Defensive Lineman of the Week.

 

McFadden, a s enior from Pompano Beach, Fla.,  also had a career-high five tackles, including 1.5 tackles for losses as Auburn broke its three-game losign streak.

McFadden has four interceptions this season and seven for his career, including two returned for touchdowns.

Coleman, a senior from Mobile, had two sacks, four tackles for losses and five quarterback hurries. He also blocked an extra point attempt that was returned for two points by Demond Washington
