Running back Marcus Lattimore/Phillip Marshall
There is a strong belief in South Carolina that running back Marcus Lattimore will stay in his home state to play college football.

Here is what Tony Morrell of ESPN affiliate TheBigSpur.com wrote:

"Carolina has no running backs committed and has put all of their eggs in the basket of Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes four-star Marcus Lattimore. While the 6-foot, 210-pounder continues to maintain publicly that he’s still open to several schools, it’s going to take something crazy happening between now and signing day for him to not be a part of the Gamecock class.

"With the staff not pursuing other backs and Lattimore planning a signing day announcement, all signs point to it being Lattimore or bust for this year."

Tony certainly knows as much or more about South Carolina recruiting than anyone, but we believe Auburn is strongly in the mix and that it would not be an upset if Lattimore signed with the Tigers in February.
