Auburn will self-report secondary violations from the Toomer’s Corner pep rally on Saturday of Big Cat Weekend. That is now a given.

It was an unfortunate glitch in what had been an almost perfectly planned and executed weekend. All activities involving the visitors were cleared through the compliance department. There were no violations of any kind during the Big Cat Weekend itself.

The trouble came when several recruits and coaches showed up at Toomer’s Corner on Saturday night and participated in a pep rally, complete with the time-honored Auburn tradition of rolling the ancient oak tree. Media members were there to watch.
