After four days of cruising the Caribbean, I’m back on dry ground. It’s always fun to go and always fun to get back.

It’s hard to believe that, a year ago, I was doing the same thing in the final days before AuburnUndercover.com went online. I’ll have more about our first year Wednesday, the actual anniversary of our start and the day of an even more important anniversary in my life.

Believe it or not, Southeastern Conference Media Days are just three weeks away and the start of preseason practice is just more than a month away. The season-opener against Louisiana Tech is just more than two months away.

In the days and weeks ahead, we’ll take a long and indepth look at what is reasonable to expect from Gene Chizik’s first Auburn football team and, of course, will continue to endeavor to provide the most thorough recruiting coverage available. We’ll be hitting the road to do indepth stories on some of Auburn’s commitments and some who are high-priority recruits who haven’t made their decisions.

It’s good to be back.
