Former Auburn baseball coach Steve Renfroe is back on the diamond. Renfroe, who was let go as Auburn baseball coach after the 2004 season, is the head baseball coach at Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham.
Renfroe has worked in sports ministry at Second Baptist Church in Houston for the past year.
“It’s been very emotional, because these people are wonderful,” Renfroe told The Shelby County Reporter. “It’s been a tough decision ... gut wrenching.”
