Auburn coach Jeff Lebo got his second basketball commitment in three days Wednesday when highly regarded point guard Anthony Salter of Iowa Western Community College committed to the Tigers.

According to Midwest Scouting Service, Salter is the top junior college point guard in the country.

“He’s a good scorer, but he’s a team guy,” Mitchell said. “A lot of point guards who score a lot do it by dominating the ball, but he doesn’t do that.”

Salter, 5-foot-11, averaged 15.4 points and 3.8 assists as a freshman. He shot 48 percent from the field and 38 percent from 3-point range. He was an all-region selection.

A native of Tallahassee, Fla., Salter was a 4A All-State selection as a senior at Rickards High School,  averaging 19 points, six assists, and four rebounds per game.

Salter is Auburn's fourth commitment for the Class of 2010.
