Despite the season having just ended in May, the Auburn Tigers and head coach Butch Thompson have already revealed an opponent they will be taking on in the fall before the 2027 season approaches.
On Tuesday, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos announced that the Tigers will be taking on the Florida State Seminoles in a fall exhibition game down in Pensacola, Florida on Saturday, Oct. 10.
The announcement of Auburn taking on Florida State was part of a release that the Blue Wahoos will be hosting three SEC teams in three separate weeks for exhibition showdowns.
The Tigers and Seminoles will begin the three-week festivities, with Alabama taking on Georgia Tech on Oct. 17 and Florida taking on Troy to finish things off on Oct. 24. All three games are set to be played at Blue Wahoos Stadium.
This year’s fall meeting will mark the second time in the last three seasons that Auburn has played Florida State in Pensacola. The two met previously in 2024.
Tickets for the game are set to go on sale on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at 9 a.m. CT at Bluewahoos.com.
The Tigers finished the 2026 season with a 42-22 overall record and 17-13 in SEC play. They lost in the super regional round for the second consecutive year, falling to the Ole Miss Rebels in two games.
The Seminoles finished 40-19 in 2026 and 19-11 in their ACC schedule. Florida State lost in its regional final to St. John’s.
