AUBURN - Five USF transfers joined Auburn’s wide receiving room in the spring: Chas Nimrod, Jeremiah Koger, Keshaun Singleton, Christian Neptune and Kory Pettigrew.

The portal gets added a major injection of talent to the room.
One that quarterback Byrum Brown, who also came over from the Bulls, already has a built-in rapport with.
““Byrum is my guy. We do everything together. I know he’s going to throw it to the right spot,” Singleton told the media Thursday morning following Auburn’s second practice of training camp. “He’s very chill. He knows that he’s that guy. You know every day he’s going to bring (it).”
Singleton led USF with 50 catches for 877 yards, including a 17.5 yards per catch average, and eight touchdowns last fall.
Those five Bulls turned Tigers are joined n the group with talented freshmen Brian Williams and DeShawn Spencer along with Bryce Cain, Sam Turner, Will Upton and Brady Marchese.
“Everybody is coming together as a team,” Singleton said. “Working to be the best offense in the country. Since the spring and summer all the young guys gained confidence in themselves.”
Singleton said it was Turner that put on a show in this morning’s practice.
“He was on his thing out there today,” Singleton said.
The buzz from this summer and already carrying over into fall camp has been on the play of Spencer, the star newcomer from Saraland (Ala).
“To be honest he already plays like a veteran,” Singleton said.
The efforts have to make position coach Kodi Burns, a former Tigers star wideout himself, happy.
“Burns is a funny guy. He’s already been in our shoes,” Singleton said. “He knows what it takes to be great in the SEC.”
The group continues to push one another even adding motivation as the team must do pushups if there’s a drop. That includes head coach Alex Golesh taking part.
“We do everything as a team,” Singleton said.
