Auburn Undercover adds experienced beat reporter Caleb Jones

Auburn Undercover is expanding its team. Caleb Jones is joining the site.

Jones joins Auburn Undercover after spending the last four years covering Auburn for Rivals and On3.

Originally from Helena, Ala., Jones earned his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Auburn University in 2022. While finishing his degree, Jones spent time in student media, working for both WEGL 91.1 and The Auburn Plainsman.

With The Plainsman, Jones earned the role of lead sports reporter, later working his way up to assistant sports editor and eventually serving as The Plainsman’s sports editor from 2021-2022.

He began his professional career in 2022, working for Rivals as an Auburn football recruiting reporter. Jones spent three years in the role before shifting to a team beat role with On3 in 2025. He covered a wide range of Auburn Athletics from 2025-2026, reporting on Auburn football, men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball.
