The Auburn Tigers have now added a second fall exhibition contest to their schedule in the beginning portion of October, this time against an SEC foe.

On Wednesday, the Biloxi Shuckers announced a partnership with Mississippi State to bring two fall games for the Bulldogs at Kessler Federal Park, calling it the Hancock Whitney Classic.
The first of the two games will pit Auburn and Mississippi State on Friday, Oct. 9 at 6 p.m. CST, which will kick off the Tigers’ slate of games in the fall.
The second game of the Hancock Whitney Classic features the Bulldogs and Southern Miss the next day, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. CST.
Auburn is also scheduled to play another fall exhibition game on Oct. 10, as the Tigers will depart Biloxi and head straight for Pensacola, Florida to take on the Florida State Seminoles.
Auburn won their three-game series against the Bulldogs in the 2026 regular season. The Tigers took two out of three games at Dudy Noble Field in Starkville, falling 10-3 in the opener before winning the next two 5-4 and 13-2, respectively.
Tickets to the game are currently available through the Shuckers ticket office or on the Shuckers website.
Auburn finished 42-22 in the 2026 season and 17-13 in SEC play. It lost in the super regional round for the second consecutive year, falling to the Ole Miss Rebels in two games.
Mississippi State concluded its most recent campaign finishing 43-19 and 16-14 in conference. The Bulldogs also lost in the super regional round, falling in two games to the Georgia Bulldogs.
