The Auburn Tigers have officially reached 10 days until game day, which will mark the beginning of the 2026 season and year one under new head coach Alex Golesh.

The Tigers will look for a turnaround once again this season after not having a winning season since 2020. They hope that a number of their suspected impact players can help them do that.
Auburn Undercover is revealing another one of its players it expects to be big on the field for Auburn this season, nearing the second half of its staff-made poll.
As a disclaimer, the poll was tabulated by rankings sent in from four people on the Auburn Undercover staff—Tyler Raley, Ryan Bartow, Caleb Jones and Jay Douglas. The rankings each person sent in were averaged, with the lowest score going at the top of the list.
Coming in at No. 11 is another one of the young receivers that the Tigers have on their roster this season, but a receiver that has high potential nonetheless and has created some highlights in the preseason. That receiver is Jeremiah Koger.

Performance in 2025:
All things considered in the grand scheme of things, Koger’s 2025 campaign was one to be proud about and one where he put in some work, getting on the stat sheet in nine games for USF as a freshman.
Koger recorded 38 catches for 597 yards and eight touchdowns last season, with his longest reception of the year going for 63 yards. The Bulls went 6-3 in games where he caught a pass.
The then freshman caught multiple passes in each one of those games, finding four or more receptions in seven of those outings. His most productive game of the year came in a 41-38 loss to Navy when he caught nine passes for 112 yards and a touchdown. That game was his only one of the season where he surpassed the 100-yard mark.
His work he put in on the field placed him second on USF in terms of receiving yards, placing only behind Keshaun Singleton, who notched 877 receiving yards. His eight touchdowns also tied for the most on the team, a category in which he tied with Singleton as well.
Koger, along with Singleton, Christian Neptune and Chas Nimrod transferred to Auburn over the offseason after Golesh was named the head coach of the program. The four of them accounted to be four of the top five receivers for the Bulls in 2025.
Preseason camp intel:
It is pretty safe to say that the Tigers have experience in their receiver room. However, experience does not necessarily equate to being one of the older guys.
Koger matches that description. In fact, in the entire receiver room for Auburn in 2026, there are two upperclassmen that are expected to get considerable playing time in Keshaun Singleton and Chas Nimrod. Everybody else is a freshman or sophomore.
However, Koger is part of a receiver room that has high potential. He has been part of a couple of names that have received mentions from Golesh and wide receivers coach Kodi Burns for his performance in drills.
Auburn Undercover has observed him making smooth catches during his reps that he had, including one that he ran for a touchdown in a surprise team period during preseason camp.
Koger has the height to go up and make catches at 6-foot-3, which will be useful if he is ever matched up against a smaller corner.
It is unknown though how the Joel Gordon and Golesh plan to use him in the offense and what part of the receiving corps he will play most often.
What helps him though is his familiarity with Byrum Brown at quarterback, as he played with him when they were at USF. It is a trait that should help him in this offense and cause him to be a unique weapon as long as he makes the plays come game time.
