Butch Thompson and the Auburn Tigers will open up the 2027 baseball season in roughly four months, looking to make amends after falling in the super regional round for each of the last two seasons.

Tuesday was a big day in terms of new information for the year, as the Tigers found out they were going to the Bahamas to take part in the Atlantis Collegiate Baseball Series to open up the year, playing against the Penn State Nittany Lions in a three-game series.
The SEC also announced the conference schedules for each team in the league, laying out Auburn’s path leading up to the SEC Tournament in Hoover in May 2027.
In 2026, the Tigers finished 42-22 overall and 17-13 in league play. They earned the No. 6 seed in the conference tournament and were bounced in the semifinals by Arkansas.
Auburn will begin its 2027 conference slate with a home series against the Florida Gators March 19-21, a series the Tigers won in Gainesville a year ago.
Butch Thompson’s squad will then hit the road to take on the Oklahoma Sooners at Kimrey Family Stadium March 26-28. Auburn won two games in the top-10 series at Plainsman Park in 2026.
The Sooners will be followed by a return back home to see the Missouri Tigers April 2-4, who Thompson’s team swept last season.
After that is a rivalry series against the defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs at Foley Field in Athens April 9-11. The Tigers fell in last year’s meeting to end the regular season, but won the third game.
Auburn heads home following Georgia to meet Tennessee in Plainsman Park April 16-18, who the Tigers did not see in 2026. Auburn did, however, win the series by taking two games in Knoxville in 2025.
A two-series road trip comes up after the Volunteers, beginning with a series at South Carolina April 23-25, who the Tigers also did not face last year. Their most recent meeting was in 2025 on the Plains, a series that Auburn swept.
That trip is continued with a slate at Arkansas, who the Tigers took two out of three from in 2026. That series will be played April 30-May 2. Auburn has not won a series in Baum-Walker Stadium since 2014.
The Tigers come home for a pivotal series following their time in Fayetteville, facing Ole Miss in Plainsman Park May 7-9. Auburn did not take on the Rebels in last year’s regular season, but Ole Miss did come to the Plains and sweep the Tigers in two games to win the super regional in the NCAA Tournament.
The final road trip of the year will be to Nashville to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores May 14-16, a group Auburn took two out of three from in 2025 at home.
The Tigers then come back to Plainsman Park to close out the regular season with the Alabama Crimson Tide May 21-23, who Auburn got swept by in Tuscaloosa last season.
