Auburn wants the backs carrying the load

Byrum Brown's ability as a runner is an important part of Auburn's offense. Offensive coordinator Joel Gordon just doesn't want his quarterback to have to be the Tigers' primary ball carrier over the course of the season.

Gordon wants Jeremiah Cobb and Auburn's other running backs carrying the football more frequently than Brown.

That's an important distinction.
