Last week, Lee County Circuit Judge Jeffrey G. Tickal granted an extension of time for Rubštavičius’ attorney to file a supplemental brief in support of his TRO. That brief was not filed by the deadline, as it became apparent that Rubštavičius was not going to able to establish his eligibility.
Rubštavičius filed his lawsuit against the NCAA on Oct. 14. This followed a months-long effort by Rubštavičius and Auburn to gain eligibility for the Lithuanian through the NCAA’s eligibility process.
