Former Auburn head coach Terry Bowden joins Ronnie Sanders to deliver a blunt assessment of Auburn football’s 38-17 loss to No. 18 LSU and explain why the Tigers cannot panic after one disastrous performance.
Bowden says LSU was simply the better football team Saturday. Auburn could not establish its running game, protect Byrum Brown or create the turnovers it needed to keep the game close. LSU held Auburn to 67 rushing yards and recorded seven sacks as the Tigers followed their upset of No. 1 Georgia with their most complete loss of the season.
But Bowden pushes back against calls for immediate coaching changes. He explains why firing coordinators, changing play-callers or beginning another reset would only continue the instability that has damaged Auburn’s program. The coaches know what went wrong. The challenge now is correcting what can be fixed without overreacting to criticism from outside the building.
Ronnie and Terry also preview Auburn’s road game against Ole Miss. Auburn must reestablish its running game, contain Trinidad Chambliss outside the pocket and win the turnover battle to have a chance in Oxford.
National college football analyst Joe Lisi joins the show to examine the growing parity created by NIL and the transfer portal. He also explains why he likes Auburn with 13.5 points against Ole Miss and offers his Week 9 selections.
