Auburn faces five teams ranked in the initial poll, including its entire slate of October opponents.

The Tigers will face No. 3 Georgia, No. 9 Ole Miss, No. 11 LSU, No. 14 Alabama and No. 20 Tennessee this season, with Florida and Vanderbilt also receiving votes in the initial poll. Auburn received three votes and falling in at No. 43 in the rankings — tied with James Madison.

As it enters its first season under new head coach Alex Golesh, Auburn’s first ranked opponent based on the initial poll will be on the road, facing No. 20 Tennessee on Oct. 3.

It begins a loaded month of October, which also features a road contest against No. 3 Georgia (Oct. 17), an 11 a.m. kickoff against Lane Kiffin and No. 11 LSU (Oct. 24) and concluding with a game on the road against No. 9 Ole Miss.

Auburn’s final ranked opponent from the preseason poll is Alabama, which enters the season at No. 14. The Iron Bowl is set for Nov. 28 in Tuscaloosa.

Outside of Auburn’s schedule, four other SEC teams made the preseason Top 25. Texas ranks No. 5, Texas A&M No. 8, Oklahoma No. 10 and Missouri No. 25.

Florida, which Auburn hosts Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. CST, is the second team out of the preseason poll with 51 votes. Vanderbilt also received votes and will travel to Auburn Sept. 26.

Auburn begins its season in Atlanta Sept. 5, playing Baylor in Mercedes Benz Stadium at 2:30 p.m. CST.
